Firefox + Movies

Ok, I dont know if others are having the same problem as me, but when using Firefox and I go to a site that has a .avi file (movie) on the page im looking at, it says "Click Here To Download Plugin". When I click on it, it says there are no plugins availible, so I cant watch the movie.

Thx.

can you provide a link to the page in question? If I can see what you are trying to view i may be able to help as I have no issues viewing things in FireFox 1.0.3

How many attempts do you make to login somewhere with that username

Very simple solution: use Internet Explorer. With the proper programs employed it is just as secure.

Go to the themes/extensions page (it should be in FF bookmarks) - click on plug-ins.

If what you need ain't there, sorry.

Do you have SpywareBlaster or Spyware Guard or SpyBot with teatimer activated or something along these lines that will not allow you to inadvertently download suspicious plugins? If yes, then I suggest you stay away from high-risk sites offering movies that may entail the downloading and installing of their very own plugin/player/dialer/other possible malicious whatevers.

I have problems with some sites playing videos on FF. I think its how the websites are designed - poor code or coding specific to IE, since more often than not its a video that requires WMP and it doesn't want to work in FF usually.
In fact that is usually when I have trouble, when it calls to use WMP, realplayer or quicktime ones work just fine.
