Yeah, That does seem kinda out there... I don't spam, and it annoy's the crap outta me... But WOW Good to know it's being taken seriously though. While I think this is a little harsh maybe it will get some people's attention.

$750K a month!?...Damn! ....I mean uh....good thing they caught him! And yeah....9 years is alittle over the top. A nice sized fine would have been more on order.

I hate spam also, but it sounds as if this person is a scapegoat.

Scapegoat? or harsh? NO. The guy commited acts of fraud and basically stole money from people via his spam. I think the sentence is too soft. He'll get out in 9 years and live it up on the millions he stole from people. I think he should spend his jail time writing out checks to all the people he stole from. Maybe just send him to jail for the amount of time that would take... How could anyone feel sorry for this guy?!?

The thing I don't get is...why do people "still" fall for crap like that? I mean really...it's been around long enough and you'd have to been living in a cave to not know about it. Not justifying what the guy did...but really....are people still that stupid?

I don't laugh when I read stuff like that. I get very angry and upset that people can be so stupid, selfish and whatelse I think which I won't meantion here.

I just set filters on my pc to send junk like that to my junk folder. And if I don't recognize an address from a sender I just delete it. But I get very little spam in my email.

certain forms of spamming are illegal,

In Australia all forms of 'spamming' are illegal.

Unsolicited bulk email is all it takes to be on the wrong side of the law.  Unfortunately 99.9% of all spam originates off-shore.

700k a month?

People are really rediculous.

He could have stopped a long time ago and used his money to find a real job, invest or what have you.

Instead, he continues to send emails.

joeKnowledge goes of to email people...
