i had objectdock going in my pc with no problems, then i decided to install iconx and there goes my dock, it deleted the dock i had, if i uninstall iconx my dock is back. how do you solve this problem?

The SAME thing happened to me with AveDesk 1.2. I made a topic about it but got no response.

I did end up just keeping IconX disabled and used AveDesk to replace the icons. Works out nice, but I do think the IconX compatiblity issues with other programs should be addressed somehow. :S

If you are looking for support on this issue you should post it in the support forum. You may not get many responses on this here because people may not use IX in conjunction with OD. It does sound like there may be a problem but only SD will know for sure.

Good Luck!

Don't have any suggestions, but I can say without doubt that IconX and Object Dock (I am using Plus) can coexist quite nicely on a computer at the same time. I have OD+ running constantly and any time I turn on DesktopX (with IconX enabled) or IconX alone things work just fine.

Yep, just verified it again. Sorry it isn't working for you.

Do you have any docklets in your dock? If so, try removing the docklets one by one.

Which version of OD the free or the plus? I've been running the ODplus version with IconX for at least six months. Both run on Startup. I haven't experienced any problems. If it's not the free version of OD then I think Thomassen is on the right track. I don't use many docklets.

OD free w/IconX = works
OD free w/DesktopX (IX enabled) - works

I've never had a conflict. Also don't use many docklets (I use the simple animation just for grins once in a while).
