New to the map editor. Why will my maps not save!?!?!

I am finally getting a chance to make my own map. I assumed that it would be as easy as it looks. Some how its not. Either I am missing something or I can't save a map. Period. I choose "Save" or "Save As", type a name and hit save. I get no errors. I also get no new map file put in the directory I chose to save in. What am I missing here? >:(

Does anybody at least have a work around to this problem? Maybe uninstall the game and re-download the whole thing from Drengin net? I was really looking forward to making some maps.
