drengin net question/ ordering AP question

well at last since I first heard about AP which seems like forever it's finally gone gold, now comes the challenge, getting the money together to buy it lol. If I preorder AP and ask for a cd, do I have to pay shipping charges of any kind? And if I ask for the DL option how big of a dl is it? Then I saw the Drengin subscription price, which covers all of Stardocks' games and betas, for everyone who has that, is it worth it? I'm just thinking that if I get that, will that cover me for when Galciv2 comes out. Thanks all

as far as i know.....

yes there are shipping charges for the CD
the download for AP is 20MB or so
dunno if the drengin.net special will apply to GalCiv2

Drengin.net covers every game that Stardock makes until your subscription runs out. If you renew your subscription and then GalCiv 2 goes into beta stage then you could download it and have it before everyone else. At least that's my understanding of how drengin.net works.

my problem is that shipping costs == 10 $ == 0.5*AP costs

10$ for shipping a 20$ package? >:(

dont think Iam gonna get it unless I can order it at amazon.de or .com and thus pay no shipping at all there.

I think it was worth it, I like playing the Corporate Machine just as much as GalCiv AP.

If you have a CD burner, you can order AP without the CD, then use SDC to archive the files once you've downloaded it.  Then burn the archives and the install file for SDC to a CD and you've got a backup.

That doesn't help if it's the download time that's your concern, but it does if you're worried about losing it from your hard drive.
