Suggestion for Galciv2 (somewhat long)

Hi, have a suggestion, one thing that really bothers me about Galciv is that everyone has come up with the tried and true formula for starting a game. Make sure pq is 20 or better, set tax rate up but keep approval at 100. It just seems like you can just use these tactics over and over again. I know this would be a challenge to program but perhaps give us more control of the planet, or different techs and such, or something that changes the formula for starting each game. Maybe have each rach with his or her or it's own important things and weakness. Yes I know that sounds alot like the MOO games but really that's one of the things I like about different sides in Strategy games, the whole unique feeling playing as them. This is not a flame against Galciv or Moo or anything, I just want to see alittle more variety in how you can play Galciv.

you could approach the game with more 'variety' rather than have it given to you....the RubeBoys (Realms Beyond) explored a lot of different ways to play...havin said that i do miss the old days when morale was always a problem and you got kicked out of office. maybe GC2 could look at morale a little more closely?

Make initial PQ systematically 15, and pay picks to have more. 1 pick = 17, 2 = 19, 3 = 21...
