What would happen if wincusto was shut down for a week?

Just a thought, being that sometimes to really iinprove a site, you might need to shut it down... completely... so emplement new systems.

So, what would happen if Wincustomize shut down for a week? We could all go to XP Theme.com but then again, its database is the same as here, so if Wincusto goes down, so does xp themes.

hmmmm... what about putting up a rescue sit that just puts up the last 30 days of uploads and the forums?

I am just thinking of ways that wincustom can mutate into something it wants to be without everyone on its back while its doing it.

The only good thing about WC shutting down for a week is that we won't see (read) Jafo correcting anyone's spelling.

Actually...the way things have been around here lately...who would even notice? Honestly, it's getting old coming here and not being able to view more than a page or 2 before it's pointless to keep trying. I've seen more error pages than anything else.

If WC gets shut down for a week, everyone will probably go to my skinning website
No but seriously, that's a good idea on having some sort of backup website with the last 30days of uploads and forum-activities...But at which URL will it be viewed?

Seems to me, joeKnowledge, you're WC handle is a misnomer. Anyone with any knowledge at all would not dare suggest such a terrible thing, lol. I'd dare not to ever show my face here again if I ever dared to raise such a traumatic thought publicly on this forum.
How dare you put the fear of the unimaginable into myself and millions of skin junkies worldwide. Hey, admins, can a membership be withdrawn for inciting widespread panic among us like this? lol!
The only benificiaries of such a devastating event would be shrinks, therapists and rehab clinics, and they have more than enough needy patients on their books without many thousands of WC broken and lost souls. So all admins, this damnable issue must be banished from all WC forums for all eternity. Perish the thought it should ever raise its ugly head again, for its not the apocalyse we have to have.

In addition, joeKnowledge, for what you have done to me, I behest upon you a plague of locusts of biblical proportions. And if you have an outside at your place, I trust that the locusts eat it all gone and your internet goes down for a week, so you have to live the reality of the fear you've instilled in so many. Talk about throwing the cat amongst the pigeons! You've thrown a hand grenade into the outhouse

Since reading your forum submission, my stomach has rejected my lunch and my bowels have gone out in sympathy, such is the trauma. How about a plague of frogs as well?
Seriously though, joeKnowledge, you raise an interesting point. Is there a contingency plan for skin junkies to find refuge in without the drastic measure of venturing outside? Should it truly exist?

P.S. Whilst in brief training for the possibility of such a catastrophe, I discovered there is an outdoors after all. It's not a myth!!!!!!
