A Lapsed Neat-Freak
Me? No....

The last few days I’ve been able to keep the house remarkably neat. When I see a mess, I clean it up, right there on the spot, without even thinking twice. It’s as though the house keeps itself clean because I don’t even realize I’ve been buzzing around all day making it that way!
That’s great. See, I used to be a clean freak when I was a wee lass.
But something happened in my teens; I became a mess-creator of tornadic proportions. Cleaning has become so tedious for me, when it used to be second nature. And it’s not like I didn’t have a life when I was a neat-freak. I was just simply a clean person, then I went about the rest of my business in a responsible, organized manner.
Now during my adult years, for the most part, I have been Ms. Scatter-Brain! What has become of me?
But I’ll say again, somehow this week has been phenomenally clean. Even the kitchen has remained mess-free. Amazing. Stranger still, it’s been seemingly effortless.
I say to myself, “Let’s try to keep this up.”
I say in response, “Sounds great, but don’t hold your breath.”
