I just sent this email to my friend...and I think it's blogworthy in a diary sort of way
Hi Jenn,
How are you doing? I just thought of you this morning...'cause today for the first time in my mommy years I got up before Michael, showered, and got dressed to the shoes ...yes, even the kind of shoes that tie so that I can't kick them off and get lazy. Can you believe it? So I'm sitting here all ready for him to get up, give him breakfast, and we're going sledding (let us know any time if you'd like to come...until the snow melts.)
Usually I lay in bed as long as possible, even when I'm aware that Michael wants to get up. Then I absolutely have to get up once he starts pulling the covers off me, but if I don't respond to that, he starts bawling. So that's when we definitely get up...but I don't speak to him for a few hours...I give him his breakfast, set him in front of the TV, and close the curtains because I hate the morning sun. Isn't that awful?
I prefer the flylady way. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I feel better. It takes motivation though. I hope I can keep it.
