Microsoft spreading some good quality loving to Firefox

This just in on SlashDot: MS AntiSpyware Program is reporting Firefox as a Threat and suggesting it's removal. http://tinyurl.com/4mgw9 [Image Hosted] Here's the thread running over at Zeropaid Forums, that brings this to light. http://tinyurl.com/6nmww [ZeroPaid Forum] Fear.Uncertainty.Doubt I know in a previous thread we discussed the TACTICS MS is employing against other technologies. Namely interferring with W.I.N.E, and I pointed out several instances of previous FUD Tactics and Stratagies against other Rivals, and I was pooh..pooh'ed as a Conspiracist. Doesn't this kind of further proove my points? MS does not play fair, and this is yet another fine example of the Underhandedness MS uses to squash its' competition.

I've got AntiSpyware and Firefox 1.01. I run AS scans frequently and have never had this happen.

The first time (amonth or so ago) I got Firefox, Spybot,AdawareSE,MS Antispyware, and Pest Patrol all found 7 spywares from Firefox. They were all registry entries. I removed Firefox. I have tried it again, and still have it. This time I have yet to find any spyware. I do not know went on the first time. Only that it WAS Firefox spyware that was detected.

Yup - I'm a fairly long time Firefox user running the latest build and also running the latest Microsoft anti-spyware updates. No negative reports of any kind on my machine.

I am wondering if it is a "definitions" update? I also wonder if it might be build number specific, or something. I admit it might be a farked fake. I am going to be curious if there will be similar stories to come in the future, additionally.

Also of Note I am not, against MS. I use Windows, Support Windows and owe my Livelyhood to Windows Platform. I just hate thier tactics.
