CGW doesn't even have us on the list for strategy games.  IGN does, though, and we beat Rise of Nations in the first round at Quarter To Three.

Hmmm, CGW sure missed it on this one then!

GalCiv beat RoN on my pc. I played RoN every night until I got GalCiv. Since then, I have not started RoN. Nothing against RoN just that GalCiv is more fun, to me anyway. Interesting though that they pit a TBS against an RTS, but cool that you beat them!

Heh. I was in the RoN beta, and after I got GalCiv I just never thought it worthwhile to buy the retail version of RoN ;)

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with it (not like I was/am with MOO3 though :p ). XP cleaned up my unused icons on my desktop yesteday. All that is left now is the windows standard ones and GalCiv. :D

My next goal is to convince my wife I need the Drengin.net upgrade LOL

I already ordered the expansion on cd though, so it would be a harder sell for the upgrade. As long as I can play I shall be :D :D happy!!

But I am not sure if the expansion is coming out or not, for the drenging would be only $10 more and you get all the other games and upgrades for 18 months, if I was you I will try to call Stardock to see if you can submit the other $10 and get Drengin.net instead of the expansion only.

It said expected in 2004, February, I believe. I just ordered the version with the cd from Stardock (like you can do with GalCiv). I know it won't be retail in stores like GalCiv is.

Yes but that was in dependency of how many preorder they would have received, so I don't know how accurate will be February 2004, hopefully now that the game has gained some well deserve recognition maybe more people will pre-purchase the expansion. Lets see. Anyway the Idea of Drengin it is a good one.
