I guess I don't understand. All of my bootskins turned out fine and all of them use different colors.

Interesting link thanks Kona's right, when you replace your bootscreen using Stardock's Bootskin proggie you can use any pallette of 16-colours to create your image.

Eddie.....any 16 colours can be used.....any 16 you like .... but they MUST share the same palette as the progress animation .... both images MUST have the same palette...

Ok that's very helpfull thanks!

reading back my own message it comes out a bit strange anyway.
with "should be" i did not mean "you have to" but meant i think
these are the colors.

Well, you're still stating it as if you can only use those 16 colors, and that's not the case. Maybe that's not what you mean, but that's how it's sounds.... We don't want to confuse people making their first BootSkin.
You can use any 16 colors.

And you don't need BootSkin either (unless you dig that progress bar): http://www.virtualplastic.net/msgboard/thread.php?forum=1&thread=251

No that's not what i meant, It's time you all learn dutch!

and with bootskin i meant the image not the program, to make it
more confusing, sorry for the confusion, but it still can be
a handy thread i guess.
