Very few people submit losses because of the way the Metaverse determines score.

Something to keep in mind when choosing an empire is that in addition to the overall "theme" of the empire, each empire seems to differ in the attitude of its members toward the game, and the types of topics discussed. The Fellowship, for example, has much more strategy and gameplay discussion than most other empires. Special Forces has much more story-writing. And so on.

Check out the empire threads before making a decision--though of course you shouldn't feel that once you've joined an empire you're stuck there, or that you can't participate in other empire threads.

I have been checking some of the threads and empire sites on and off. You are right, they do have slightly different slants. I think I shall at least finish the game I have going and keep researching a bit.

Your comments regarding the Fellowship are well noted and I have found some good advice already in the threads. Being ex-military also and an avid TBS and RTS gamer I do enjoy good tactical/strategic discussions...

Being ex-military

What branch? I was in the US Navy. The Fellowship's emperor (Ray the Wanderer) is an officer in the Singapore military.

Yet another thread of recruitment ads. I have to admit this is the part of running an empire I find most tiresome. Advertising. Yuk. Too much like actually doing work or something.

Being in PanGaea is so fun that we often get too carried away partying and enjoying ourselves in decadence to notice that any work needs doing. After all, thats what our slaves are for isn't it? I need an advertising slave.

If you want to be my adertising slave click here...

...and I promise I won't whip you all that much. (unless you want me to!) ;)

On the other hand if you wish to affiliate with us as a PanGaea supporting War Lord, then click here instead...

...and I'll make sure all our pleasure facilities are available to you. :HOT:

I was in the US Army. I was in the infantry; too long I should say. I still look at landscapes and think of tactics to defend or attack.

Does the Fellowship have limitations on alignment? I am sort of evil right now, in my current game, but would be the kind of player who would vary the playstyle both for learning and fun (and a bit of roleplay).

I don't think there's a thread other than this for unaffiliated players so I'll say it here...

Congrats to Theoleo on making Admiral!

I have a general question or two.

Is there an Empire that leans toward the Good not the Evil?

Is there an Empire where the members do not swear all the time? This is likely not a big problem unless the Empire has a forum they use for them selves.

Thanks for the help.

There's no empire that's "officially" Good. However, since Good is the dominant alignment in the Metaverse, most empires end up with mostly Good players.

Many people have thought that an all-Good empire would be fun to form, but no one's actually gone and started one yet. Maybe you could?

There's really very little swearing overall. You'll be fine in any empire.
