graphics problem?

a while ago, I stopped playing galciv in favor of other games, and since the expansion was out, i decided to try it. However, since I reinstalled it I have been having a graphics problem in which in the tech research screen, I can't see what a tech will build, give me, or lead me to. Also in the diplomacy screen, everything is underlined and whenever I try to exchange money, there is a white bar with that brown block in the middle, If I click on it, the amount goes down, so the max I can trade as far as money is 100 at a time

I don't know if my sys specs would matter as I had no problem prior expansion

Now it refuses to even load, it loads a saved game, the tech screen is blank, and if i push done, it goes to the space screen, but instead of seeing stars everything is red then it crashes.

On the diplomacy screen at least, everything being underlined is a feature, not a bug. The underline indicates a link; you can click on any underlined thing to get more information about it.

For the monetary exchange, you can click in the field showing the amount and type in a number, instead of trying to deal with the extremely finicky slider.

Don't have any good ideas for you on the save-game load problem... Anybody else have some thoughts?

Are you loading a save game from before the update? It may just be too out of date.

Are there any errors in your debug.err file?  Can you start new games?
