Life begins at...............
Forty.
Yes it's right, tomorrow The Smudger reaches the big 4 - 0, and the only one who DOES N'T seem bothered about is me.
I had taken the weekend off, but not because of that particular birthday, but because, traditionally, I have tried to have my birthday day off w
ork..
ork..Myself and Cathy were going to go away for the night last night, but the weather has put paid to that for now
(although Laura has still gone to stay with her cousin for the night anyway) - but we will probably go away on Cathy's birthday in just over a month's time.

Maybe it's jsut me, but can never get that excited about any brithday, however old you are. Other peoples birthday, now that's different. I can get excited and happy for them
- but never for me.
- but never for me.So that's it, less than 24hours before I'm Forty. And will Monday be any different from today????.
I doubt it.
Anyway, for the last few weeks I have been "playing" with my new toy.

For many years I have had a PDA/Palm , but in the last month or so, my Handspring Visor has been, shall we say, less than co-operative. The batteries didn't last as long as they should have done (and that was up to six weeks). When I added a date or a note, several days later it may well have gone. I tried the usual tricks. New Batteries, Backup's. Reset's, both soft and hard, and it would be OK for a couple of days. But then the final straw. I turn it on one day and it starts from "it's out-of-the -box" setup. That was it. BYE BYE. Say hello to the bin.
On this "prompt" I walk into the nearest Electronic Suppliers' and have a look at what they have. After a look, and more improtantly, a play, I walked away with an iPaq 1940. It is so more user friendly than what I had before, i don't know why I didn't change before. It uses Windows PC Pocket software, which makes it so like Wimdow XP, I could use most of the PDA without trying to hard. You can personalize in ways that the Visor could never even try to emulate.
But what impresses me even more?????.
Sad , though it is, I can make sense of the Calandar I created.
Cheers for Now
