  I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from last weeks CorelDRAW for Skinners and a lot of requests for more videos, so this week we have 2 more. I will try and cover all requests as time allows. This week I am covering the two most asked for techniques that I am using in the Icon-A-Day icons, Reflections & Drop shadows.  Both these videos ran a bit longer than I wanted, but they cover all the basics, and should allow for a better understanding of some of what is being done it the written tutorials.

Love these.. I have had Corel for a while but have not been using it. How about a "basics" class, things like combining items, drawing shapes, etc.

I have a q about that. If I take 2 objects and "combine" them, I can no longer use the MESH tool on them, is that correct? If so, is there a way to put a "hole" in something and still have the MESH tool available?

How long these tutorials will be on the net? Can these be burned on a CD?

You can click on the Link to the video, and say save target as... and save it to you hard drive or whatever. Keep them as long as you want.

I am in agreement with everyone. I have been charged with developing new icons for my company's new software, and I have been using Photoshop for years to do so. After watching these videos and following your tutorials, I am well equiped to deliver some great icons. Thanks! I went right out and bought CorelDraw and Axialis IconWorkshop...

By the way, I have found that CorelDraw 12, and Axialis IconWorkshop are a great combo for creating great icons. I have used a lot of different programs to create icons, and so far I'd say this combo is the best.

My vote goes for an advanced mesh tool lesson, and perhaps some intro lessons on perspective and 3D (extrude), and the contour tool would be great as well.

Sweet... Thanks for the tuts, im a 13 year old kid who just blew my life savings (and then some) on CorelDRAW 12 because of you. thanks, man. btw... how bout a tut on how to combine objects? thnkx!
