I'd like to remind everyone about the War of the Worlds Galciv Fan Fiction site http://idle.thehueys.com/wotw .

Since it went live early last month we've had 16 authors register and had 60 stories posted. :SURPRISED:

For those of you who haven't been able to keep up with the various fiction available in various threads, we created this site for you.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or requests, please post them here. Real life has kept me pretty busy, but I want to make sure this site doesn't get lost in the metaverse shuffle. :)

Just wanted to give idle a pat on the back for the effort he's put in to the site! If you're tired of reading the boards, and just finished off that maso gigantic and are stuck with time on your hands...you'll find something for everyone there! Stories for the whole family...wait...well, maybe not...in fact...

Oh my God!!! That was the best chapter of literature I've ever read!!! Well, it was pretty good anyway...

Anyone who hasn't taken the time to read the Alliance of Evil story has got to stop what they are doing and go right now to the War of the Worlds site!!!

Because being rude about someone else's stories would be unforgivable, so the ratings are largely meaningless. And because hardly anyone reads those things anyway, I imagine.
Even so, speaking as the person who wrote the majority of that story, your kind words are appreciated.

I submitted a story to a science-fiction magazine today. If it gets published, they'll pay me three pounds. That's less than I earned for pretending to work in an office while I wrote it in the first place. It's a good thing I write for love, not money.

Who can I contact for a registration problem?

I attempted to register with the username Circeus, but it seems that hotmail interpreted the confirmation mail as spam, and deleted it, and I'd like to re-register at a different address.

I don't know if anyone cares about my opinion, but I've read several of the stories. I REALLY like them. The style of some of the stories is extremely original. I think Downie, TheQuack, and Wild Wombat are my favorite authors so far.

I'm glad to see you all are enjoying the site. I am the admin and am kind of out of the loop at the moment.

My son, Joshua was recently diagnosed with a rare Lymphoma. He is currently in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy.

I will look into the email issue Monday while at work. It will hopefully be a quick fix. If anyone is interested in helping me admin the wotw site while I'm away, feel free to [email protected] me.
