Many Microsoft Windows users who downloaded the recently released AntiSpyware program from Microsoft, or had it installed through an automatic Windows update, woke up to a surprise. Unintentionally, the heuristics of the software detected Internet Explorer as spyware, and removed the program from their systems.

Microsoft has pulled the program from its website until the problem can be corrected. Elias Weatherbee, a Microsoft representative, said the program was "only in beta" and that "a fix was forthcoming."

Before all of you anti-microsoft types get your panties in a bunch.. look over this article carefully.
Point 1 - The article claims that MS pulled the product.. FALSE, i just downloaded it again from MS.
Point 2 - Do you really think a MS representative is going to publicly respond to an accusation with the words "Tough Shit".. I don't think so.
It appears to me that this site is either just a joke or a forum to spread false statements.

I'll use firefox when all web sites I need to view are viewable with the program. Otherwise, it has vulnerabilities just like anything else and less functionality all wrapped in one...

yea, this sounds very much like a hoax or an urban legend to me. I just don't think any program would be able to remove a part of the OS (which IE is at the moment).
