What is your one wish for next Pack/Update?

Having been away from GalCiv for a while and just now coming back, I have just one wish (aside from 40 hours in a day), the ability to make legislative proposals.

Of course, I also wish espionage stole more techs with really high espionage expenditures, but I said "one wish"

What is your one wish?

My one wish is that all my many wishes for the premium expansion will come true :D

Being able to sort the "Star List" by (best world) PQ, to find those PQ 13 and PQ14 worlds I scouted previously, but having a difficult time finding.

I second that. I spend alot of time clicking planets in bigger maps to find those.

As an aside, I bet that one of the new AI settle the PQ14 when it's got one +10% PQ tech, and settles PQ13 when it's got both. That's just too common a human tactic for SD to NOT model, isn't it?

Oh... I saw a PQ 14 World that the Drengin settled in my last game. It was a BLUE star... and they'd pushed it up to PQ 16 with terraforming. I was VERY shocked. Is there an event that knocks down PQ? I haven't understand why the Drengin did that so far. They left all the other PQ14 alone that game.

I see some low PQ planets colonized by the AI but it's not consistent.
I still haven't detected any pattern to this colonization behaviour.
At the end of many games, I still find lots of PQ14s, even in colonized AI systems.

A more detailed diplomacy model would be nice... not too complex, but I would like to be able to ask "What would you trade for X?" rather than run through all possible combinations of technologies, money, etc... waiting for it to turn green. At the very least allow for counter offers.

Drop down sorting menu for the ship, planet and technology panels would help as well.

Otherwise, I am having a great time playing. I love the new star graphics and other tweaks and features in the expansion pack. If it weren't for the distractions of real-life, I may actually complete a game.

I'd like an easier way to keep track of where all the galactic resources are across the galaxy. Right now, I'm using pen and paper.

Oh, and a new way to manage empire spending so that money doesn't get wasted building nothing, but you said "one wish". :)

A map editor.

um, my most recent 'one wish' is sectors based on mass (mass = resources) rather then just arbitrary squares - thus in tight clusters the sectors would vary enormously, and in occasional clusters, they'd be evenly matched. that way you could play with sector size and it's ramifications on influence/trade etc etc

Ditto. Once you discover where it is, it stays visible even when owned by an alien civ.

More Major and Minor Alien Civs

How about a difficulty inbetween genius and incredible?

The new, larger Gigantic size to have more stars. The stars are so far apart now!

I want the AI to realize that if you bribe someone to declare on them, it's a hostile act, and that if you give their enemies ships, it is a hostile act.

I'm going to cheat and add one more, which is that the AI should recognize threats (both cultural and military) in adjacent sectors and not just its own. No more of this "don't you dare build a shopping district in my sector, but ten party palaces next door is just fine with me."

1) More galaxy sizes, including the older (smaller) version of gigantic, as well as even larger galaxies (although not that many and not that much larger). This should include more stars, of course.

2) With the two new civs, the option to disable civs. I wouldn't mind being able to play with all 7, or only have one nemesis to play against.

3) More stuff (ships, projects, bonuses) for techs like "solar system creation" and the like. As they stand, they're just bookmarks. I'd like the bookmarks to actually have meaning. Get something useful for each advance, that is.

My wish is for linked events. Lots of linked events. Will make the game experience even more fun.

You already can do this. Just click on their portrait twice in the game setup screen.

Scenarios or campaigns of various difficulty ratings that could be scored on metaverse against others that played same one. :HOT:

Here is one from another thread that I heartily agree with:

- If you claim a resource that was recently controlled by an AI, that AI should view that as a hostile act and demand the starbase. (just as if you built the starbase in a sector with their planet).

I would like to see a right-click option which displays the productivity values for that particular unit. This would afford the ability to see how much income a space station is generating and if it is still feasable to maintain. It could provide the amount of economy, research, social, etc.

I've played many strategy games and in most (95%) of them you can create a border to keep your empire secure. This feature added in Galciv would open up a lot of new events, structures & technologies. You would have to invest in it off course, but the simplest version should be cheap.
