News for Myth Inc.

Hi gang,

Felt like I'd gotten hit over the head with hammer today. The flu is going around and while I don't have that, I have a definite cold.

Rammix and Stormy have been moving up the level ladder at impressive speeds. I just hit a puny level 25 so far.

Cooler Guild Site:

I agree with others who have said that this guild page is kind of lame. It is lame.  On the other hand, down the line we hope to make JoeUser versatile enough that we could make something like this.

If you think about it, the only thing different from that site and this site are graphics.  We support custom links and such so it's just  a matter of being able to customize how it looks.

The guild tabbard:

I haven't had a chance to scan the page yet for our guild tabbard choices or logged on yet. I don't want to pick colors iwthout talking to you guys.  How about this - comment here to let me know what colors you guys prefer.

Then we can talk about the specific design.  I am partial to white and red or white and green myself but what do you guys think?

Its Rannix

White and green sounds good but it depends on the design

Second for white and green (or green and white)

Personally, I'd like it to be blue and gold... only because I want it to work with my blue cloak It doesn't matter to me what the colors are. I'm fine with green and white. BTW, I already have a tabard equipped so I'm all set.

I like the idea of green and white, myself. Looking forward to seeing the scans.

If no-one knows what the tabbards look like, check here... http://wowvault.ign.com/static.php?category=guilds&page=tabardviewer It's a Tabbard Viewer. Kinda handy but, kinda crude. However, it get's the point across. Also on the same site is this: http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards It details all the colors, tabbards, border types etc. A couple things I would like to add... - A basic border please. The wannabe fancy ones look kinda stupid. - NO PINK A couple tabbards im kinda fond of: http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=14 http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=20 http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=27 http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=48 http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=54 http://wowvault.ign.com/?dir=guilds&content=tabards&id=85 Very simple and generic. Not leaning towards one class or race (ie swords, axes or maces). Colors... Im thinking a simple White and Red. The whole St. George and the Dragon thing. oJ

I'm partial to numbers 4, 9, 20, 47, 113, and 153. But I'm open to whatever. 113 is a lightening design and might look good in red and gold. Or anything and gold, really.

After some thought... Im becoming more partial towards a blue instead of a red. Is there any way to see the tabbard being design in the game, take screen shots of the various layout and post them here?

I think the only way you can look at the designs in game is to be either the guild master or not be in a guild at all. Before we formed MYTH, Inc, I went into the guild charter place and the NPC told me I could look at designs but couldn't formalize anything since I wasn't a guild master. Now that I'm in a guild, I no longer have the abliity to see the designs. The NPC tells me that I have to be a guild master. So, long story short, only Draginol can look at the designs in game, but he could make some screen shots. Once the tabbard is designed, there is no going back, though. If we wanted to change it, we'd have to disband the guild and restart. No go backs allowed...

Actually, I was able to look at the designs and I'm just an officer in the guild. I think it depends on which NPC you speak with. The NPC that allowed me to mess with designs was the one that sells the tabards. Try using both NPCs in stormwind to see if they'll allow you to mess with the design feature.

113 - Black backgroud, White icon, Gold border

Aha! Maybe the Ironforge guild office doesn't let you do it. That may be the difference. I went to Stormwind the first time and was able to look at tabbard designs, but have not been able to at Ironforge. That could be it.

Check out this link: http://www.utherwow.com/guilds.php

They are offering to host web sites for Uther Guilds.

I have my own business. Web hosting, design, domains, software support, etc. I could do everything for free with our own .com, forums, email address... and custom DNS for a teamspeak server, etc...

As far as web hosting goes, hosting isn't an issue.  I'm the President/CEO of Stardock Corp.  We own this site and www.wincustomize.com. So hosting isn't the problem. It's someone to provide pretty graphics and such.

We have a basic template site I could ask to be made into its own website if someone else wants to provide graphics for the template:

http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/GalCiv.asp

So picture all those graphics replaced with ones of our making for World of Warcraft.

(another page using that template)

http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/Disciples.asp

We hope to be able to do that with JoeUser eventually (i.e. be able to make a site like this look like whatever we want) but our IT guys are all busy working on www.wincustomize.com presently.

11, 20, 29 are my 3 favorites.

There is at least one guild on Uther using 11 already. I saw it in the auction house tonight. Of the other two, I like 20 very much. Probably my second favorite after 113. With that one, I'd like to see the graphic in gold or silver or maybe white against a dark background.

I was considering writing some kind of article about being a WoW widow - my husband's on level 41. But I decided after reading some of these articles/comments that I really don't have it so bad. Yes he gets up at 6am every morning and plays for an hour before work and a few hours after - but he plays in the loungeroom and stops regularly to talk to the baby, cook/eat dinner, talk to me. His response is "We could buy the game for you and you could play too."

Is there a club for WoW widows?

I like 20. It's simple yet, not lame. Seems to be getting the a lot of popularity around here also. Concerning other guilds, I don't know about anyone else, but, on my travels I have come across maybe 2 or 3 people who have tabbards.
