Object Desktop Control Center doesn't restore desktop

I must have something set incorrectly. I have desktopx set to hide the icons on my desktop. I set the "natural desktop" to

D:\Documents and Settings\myname\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf

and the desktop only flashes.

What should the settings be? I want to have the XP desktop hidden and then displayed when "natural desktop" is clcked.
