Does Galciv run with different screen resolutions? If so, where do I set my preference?

Is there a hotkey to make a screenshot?

nope, galciv only runs at 1024x768.

You can take a screenshot in any windows application (including GalCiv) by pressing the Print Screen button on your keyboard. This will copy the screen to the clipboard. Open up your favorite graphics app such as paint shop pro, photoshop, etc. and paste the screen cap into it.

PS - specifically for Adobe Photoshop you need to open the program then select file -> new and it will default to the size of your screen cap. Hit ok to create the new blank file and then paste (CTRL+V) into the new file.

PSS - for Paint Shop Pro I believe you can just right click anywhere in the work area and choose "paste as new image"

Why would anyone want to take a screenshot of GalCiv? It's about the ugliest game ever. Plenty of fun, but still you have to admit it's pretty ugly. heh

Writing an AAR and/or Strategy Guide.

Thrull: Thanks, I know that about print screen, I´d prefer a method to copy #s of shots via hotkey. It´s pretty much conventional to reserve a function key for that. Request that to be added in the expansion.
