APB, I really need your help I can't seem to use your floffy curson I tried to add it to cursor xp and there seems to be a file missing for it to show on there. Get back to me cause I would love to use it and see what others are saying about your creation.

Save the floffy.zip file somewhere, then rename it to floffy.curxptheme.

Then just double click it to install.

Mike, I can't get this cursor to work either, & I renamed it to floffy.curxptheme. The extension still says .zip. This is how it shows up: floffy.curxptheme.zip. Double clicking extracts it, - but I don't get the proper icon I should to be able to double click & have it install. It doesn't show up at all in CXP config. Maybe I could get all the other CXP themes that don't extract correctly to work if I knew the process. Any more suggestions?

Do you have "hide extensions for known file types" checked in you folder options?
Control Panel :: Folder Options :: View tab : uncheck "hide extensions for known file types"

How are you renaming the file?

Paxx, thanks! I UNchecked 'hide extensions for known file types', and after renaming the file to: floffy.curxptheme, I got the proper icon. Double clicking this icon installed it properly and I'm now using it.

Koasati: when I rename this or any other folder, I right click on the zip, scroll down to 'rename' and type in what I want it to be renamed to. Then 'enter' and it's done. I've never had a problem with renaming before now, but I have to admit I've never done it with a CXP zip before and this is why I couldn't figure out why it didn't work.

Using Paxx's method of unchecking the 'hide extensions for known file types' apparently was what I needed to do, because this cursor now works. Yayyyy!

Thanks to all who answered, I appreciate it.

*Update* Paxx, thanks to your correct suggestion, I have now gotten 2 more CXPP themes to work - before your help, they never did. You deserve 'Helper of the Year' award, as far as I'm concerned!

I forget that file types are hidden by default............ I've never understood why MS does that.
