error in trying to upload artwork to graphics

Help, please! I am a newbie at this, and am trying to upload a zipfile and the jpeg to the graphics page to hopefully be accepted as a wallpaper. I am getting an error message that says flaming bowl.exe is an invalid format. What am I doing wrong? I zipped the file, and even made it self extracting. (But truth be told, I don't know if I did everything correctly

) I used a program called 7zip. Can someone please help me? Thank you very much, and sorry if this seems ridiculously silly

You should not be uploading an exe file, which is what a self extracting zip is. Anyway, wallpapers should be uploaded to the wallpaper section...

it says error 1010. Invalid format. Not allowed to be uploaded. WHAT am I doing WRONG???

I changed it from a self extracting, and it gave me the above message

I didn't realize I could upload them there. The info for the graphics led me to believe that was where new art had to be uploaded. I don't mind if someone uses it for a theme or something if they like it. Can I upload it in both places, or just one? Like I said, I am a newbie here. Just found the site yesterday.

Well, I did it! I figured out I had to use winzip, not the other zip program I was using. It just didn't like it. Thank u, Fuzzylogic, for your help.
