Hmm...works ok here. Do you have Sp2 or anything else that might be interfering with WB?

I just installed it also. works fine here. I have NOT installed SP2 yet

Since we are talking about Windowblinds 4.4: How you do turn on the feature of having shellstyles at the top, or is this a theme specific thing?

Anyone know?

Have you modified any of your system files in anyway? (in particular desk.cpl)

It should appear in display properties the same way WB 4.3 etc did, but the code was changed to make things quicker.

I have not modified any system files. desk.cpl file is there in C:\WINDOWS\System 32. when i click on the file it opens display properties. Thats all I know. WB is not there.

Btw since someone asked, the new shellstyle look is only available if done in the skin, WB doesn't add that ability on its own.
So I'm sure we'll see some updates soon that add this to existing skins.

I have the same problem with display properties with WinXP home (english) and sp2, XP home (swedish) and with or without sp2. The problem started with some WB 4.4 beta. I think the problem depends in the way you do the installation/upgrade and has to do with the registration/deregistration of wbui.dll. In the configurations that I got the problem there was in the beginning WB 4.3 installed that use the old version of wbui.dll (2004-05-04 date). What I do now is to copy back this old version to WB-directory and the display properties are back, but without the added improvements of the new wbui.dll (2002-06-21 date).

Did 4.4 fix the AMD 64 sp2 bug?

4.3 doesnt work when you have a amd 64 bit processor for some odd reason

The solution to the display problem was found by Brian Anderson who send me the following mail:

Luis,

Greetings from way down under,

I had the same problem with WB 4.4 until i re set my "DPI Settings" back to "Normal" I previously had them set to a much higher setting. However when I changed back and rebooted WB4.4 appeared in the "Display Properties Appearence" Area. If your DPI settings are Normal please disregard this email

Regards

I was trying to fix some problems I was having with WB skins out of alignment/Faults in them etc. greenreaper told me it could be a font problem and to check the DPI Settings. I did that, reset to Normal. It not only fixed the WB Blinds problem but also fixed the WB problem the the "Display Properties Appearance" Section.

What I would like to know now (if anyone can elaborate) is that it for the DPI Settings, change it, and you wack WB, or, is there somthing else at work here?? Seems a little odd.
