Can Anyone Help Me Please

I was wondering if there was a way to change the color of the start button on Windows XP so it wasn't the same piece of crap green color, if there is a way will someone help me out please............thanks

I know it's possible with a resource/registry hack, but I'm not sure exactly how..

The best way to change that 'ugly' green button is with WindowBlinds. You're not only gonna be able to change that button but the whole entire interface.
Now, if you just want to change that specific button, then you'll need SkinStudio.
Never use a hack program as it will cause some serious problems on your system performance.

It seems like a lot of trouble for little result, and you will need to DL Resource Hacker to do it. I'd just apply a new WB skin if I were you, or do as AP67 suggests and change it with Skinstudio.

I would ditch the entire interface and download windowblinds and apply some of these great themes that these other guys are creating here. Of course you can get Skin Studio and open that Start button in a good paint program, then make it grey scale and recolor it to your choice of colors. Or you can create a new luna skin in SS and recolor it to your choice of colors. You can do so much to that interface with Skin Studio and Windowblinds, just look at the windowblinds library.
