Semicolon, the one where you DONT hit shift on the keyboard. Same key, just no shift.

Note: I think it works in emoticons.

so emoticons work, but normal, stand alone semicolons die. Must be something to do with javascript code.

More like a symbiotic relationship. A semicolon can exist in hiding with the help of a ")" or a "p" but will die in a group of its own or by itself.
