Federation and Empires DLC wont work after purchase with Epic Games

I have owned Galactic Civ 4 for many years.  I purchased from Epic Games.  I pucrhased Federation and E,pires from Epic Games in the same account.  It will not allow me to play federation and empires.  Customer support says the problem is with Stardock and I should contact Stadock for help.  Epic Games support says Federation and Empires only starts to work when you reach a certain point in Galactic Civ 4 base game which is not true.  Has anyone else had this issue?

News to me.  

I would recommend, though, that you purchase your DLCs directly from Stardock.  Check the Store.  You're more likely to get support, and SD gets to keep more of the money to fund future DLCs and support. 

Personally, I just buy the Expansion Passes here.

Thanks for the advice.  In the future I will buy the base game from stardock.  Unfortunately since the base game was bought on epic games the only dlc that will work with the base game must be bought through epic games.

I'm no fan of Epic.  That sounds like a scam.  Sorry to hear it.

Hello! I have a theory I wanted to ask, are you playing GalCiv IV base or supernova? When we rebooted the game as supernova it may count as a different item, so the dlc wouldnt apply without supernova. Could you confirm this and I can see what we can do?

I have been playing the game as supernova for the last year, as soon as it was available. I tired ordering the federations and empires dlc twice and both times the game would not show up in the epic games library so they refunded it both times.  Epic told me it the problem was with stardock and I should go to this forum for help. It is a shame because I have played galactic civ with every game and add on since the original galactic civ came out but I don’t want to start all over again and purchase all versions of the game and the dlc from steam because that seems like the only way I can play federations and empires.  I should not have to pay twice because of the stardock issue.

I really appreciate you looking into it.  I have been a loyal Galactic Civilization customer from day one and have bought every add on ever offered.  I was very much looking forward to playing federation and empires and looking forward to purchasing the future add ons as well.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
