Crashes at Press Any Key

Game crashses before loading

After launching, the intro video plays, goes to "Press any key to continue" and then immediately crashes when I press any key.

The game was working fine in Feb,  I don't know of anything that has changed system wise since then but here are the specs and things I've tried to resolve (one at a time):

Windows version and hardware specs:

  • OS: Windows 11 Enterprise 25H2  Build ver: 26200.8117 (Feb2026)
  • Hardware: Surface Laptop (2025)
    • GPU: Qualcomm Adreno X1-85   Driver 31.0.148.0 
    • Snapdragon(R) X 10-core X1P64100 @ 3.40 GHz (3.42 GHz)
    • 16 GB RAM  (Min Pagefile set to 16390)

- Disconnected from external monitor and reduced resolution and refresh rate

- Disabled Windows HDR and Auto SR settings

- Updated graphics driver from Qualcomm to latest

- Reinstalled / repaired Directx

- Ran Windows update

- Ran sfc /scannow and chkdsk

- Completely uninstalled game, rebooted, reinstalled

- Verified integrity of game files

- Running Sins2.exe as Administrator

Hey, thanks for sharing all the info and an extensive attempt at fixing it. Could you share your log files? They are here: C:\Users\zabik\AppData\Local\sins2\logs

In the meantime, could you try running test build?
You can enable it following instructions in this thread. Let me know if it helps or not
