Moving Cursor to the Right

So, my setup is two desktops, both gamers which I built myself.  Primary is on the floor on my left and secondary is on the floor to my right.  I cannot use moving the cursor to the right to get to that secondary computer.  I keep seeing something about them needing to be on the "desktop."  Does that mean physically on the desktop?  There is no way this very large mid-tower ATX will fit on top of my desk!  So, is that why I can use the cursor to the right side of the screen?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need few more details.

  1. Windows full version and OS Build number for both systems.
  2. Multiplicity version installed on both.
  3. You're using Seamless or KVM connection?

Thank you,

Windows 11 25H2 for primary computer on the left.  Windows10 22H2 for the secondary computer on the right.

I am using the trial version to see if this software will be what I need.

Set it up in Seamless, but the only way I seem to be able to get to the secondary computer is by double clicking the secondary computer tile in KVM connection.

Does each computer have a screen attached? (A different one)

No.  My primary is attached to my 27" ASUS monitor.  My secondary is not connected to any monitor.  I originally had a physical KVM switch, but was instructed to disconnect everything from that device.  As a side note, if I'm not careful, I will "lose" my cursor off in no man's land on the right!  So I know the option is there, it just doesn't pick up on the secondary computer.

So, can I assume the only way this option is possible is by having the secondary computer connected to a monitor too?  My goal is to use one monitor, one keyboard and one mouse with the two computers.

So, are there any answers here?  I'm still trying to figure out if this will work for me?

I still haven't gotten any answers here or been contacted by anyone.  I need to decide soon if I am going to purchase this software or not as my 30 day trial is running out.

So, it's now been a week since this was referred to Stardock Support with no response.  Now I am trying to convert a document to HTML on the Windows 10/secondary computer and the copy/paste is not working.  And yes, I have "share clipboard" selected.

As my 30 day trial is fast approaching, if I don't get some answers here, I'm going to assume this software will not work for my situation and try to find some other solution.

I think you may have misunderstood how the software works.

If you have ONE monitor to share between your PCs you must use KVM mode.  Seamless mode is for setups where you share the keyboard and mouse not the monitor.

That was the clarity I needed.  I think I understood that I need KVM mode, but wanted to confirm.  And this also means I cannot move the cursor to the right, but the secondary computer is actually a "window" on my primary computer.  Correct?

Do you have any thoughts on why I could not use copy and paste from primary to secondary this morning when I was converting a document to HTML for publishing on a website?  And yes, I have "share the clipboard" selected.

Well, despite the lack of answers to my questions, I went ahead and purchased the Pro version.  It is a long way from perfect as I cannot use Microsoft Office Word on my Windows 10 secondary computer, the Start menu is still more or less non-functioning, the copy and paste function is sketchy and a couple of other issues.  I was unable to copy the text from a Word document on my Windows 11 primary computer and paste into an HTM Office Frontpage document on my Windows 10 secondary computer in order to edit for publication to a website I help run.  I finally sent the document to myself on my Gmail account, opened on the Windows 10 computer and was able to copy and paste from there.

So, in spite of a lack of support, I guess I can make it work - more or less.
