Start11 v2 enhanced taskbar with Windhawk mod (Taskbar Volume Control)

I have a niche situation with 2 enhance suites for Windows 11. I have used start 11 for a while and recently upgraded to the v2 version. I noticed that one of the other mods I use is not working anymore, at least not as it did.

With the new enhanced taskbar the mod stops working when scrolling on the taskbar itself. However, I found that if you click the windows icon to bring up the start menu and scroll ON the button itself it will work. I tried replicating this behavior on the taskbar when the start menu is opened, on the start menu itself, on the secondary taskbar of my second monitor and disabling auto hide but these all failed. If you disable enhanced taskbar the mod works as intended.

I really love the new features the enhanced taskbar brings (fixed the thin 1 pixel line of the hidden taskbar) and I realize that this might just be an incompatibility with a different piece of software but I figured I might as well try and bring it up as it would be great to be able to control system sound with the enhanced taskbar enabled. Thank you in advance.

  • Native Windows 11 Functionality:Hover the mouse cursor over the speaker icon in the taskbar and use the mouse wheel to adjust the volume.

Correct, I missed listing this option. To clarify, the reason I would like to control the sound by scrolling anywhere on the taskbar is to allow volume control when using full screen on the primary monitor (video, game, etc) which is where the speaker icon is.
