Start11 2.56: Disable Taskbar Peek?

Hello Stardock Personel and fans!   Longtime user, first time support poster.

How can I completely disable Taskbar Peek?  AKA Taskbar Preview?

We know many people like this feature.   But I don't.

Disabled for many years in Windows 7/8/10.   Using this registry key:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"ExtendedUIHoverTime"=dword:99999

A few days ago, I decided to accept our fate, and upgraded my main desktop Windows 10 to 11.

Start11 has made this livable.   After a few days of tweaking, I can live with Windows 11!

But for the first time in a long time, Taskbar Peek is surprisingly back on.

Help!   And thank you!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, Start11 don't have control on taskbar preview to show or not to show. Perhaps, you can do a search on how to hide it on the net.

Thank you,
Basj,

Hello Basj!   Already tried Internet Search for this information.   Which often leads to the information above, the Registry adjustment which postpones display of Taskbar preview for 99999 seconds.

So still needing a hand.

The next beta build of S11 will have a registry key which may offer you control over this.

If this is related to the "autohide" of the Taskbar, I'm very unhappy with this new "feature".  I cannot find a way to NOT autohide the taskbar.

In addition, the taskbar size is too big and I can't seem to adjust it.

Please fix this!

If not fixed soon, I'll look for alternative applications.

Thanks!

It sounds like you have set your OS taskbar to touch mode.  Then you get a bigger taskbar which mostly autohides.

This isn't something Start11 is doing, thats an OS thing which you can change in OS taskbar settings (advanced section)
