Hello,

The app list does not jump to the selected letters. The problem occurs with Windows 11 Style with enhancements.

I have this problem on two different Windows 11 computers. I use Start 11 v2 2.56 on both of them.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can not reproduce your issue on my system. I am on Start11 v2.56 with Windows 11 25H2 OS Build 26200.7171. Any idea of step that I can try to force the issue to appear?

Would like to suggest to look if there is any conflicting 3rd party software install/running in your system that also control how your Start panel/Explorer work.

Thank you,

As mentioned, I’ve noticed this behavior on two different computers. I actually use a lot of tools, like Fences, but not all of them are running in the background.

It often helps if I briefly switch to a different style. However, at some point, jumping to certain letters no longer works accurately. For example, when I select the letter "S", it jumps one or two lines below the letter. From that point, it eventually stops working altogether.

The problems start when I leave the Start menu and switch to, for example, a browser window or open another program.

My system:

Windows 11 Professional 25H2 Build 26200.7171
Start 11 v2 2.56

Yes, the problem still exists. I have now completely uninstalled Start11 and reinstalled it. That didn't change anything.

When it happen and you use Windows 11 default start menu, does the issue appear in there?

No, this does not happen in the Windows 11 standard menu.

It's just strange. When you exit the Start menu and return later, it works fine for a while. But at some point, it stops working.

If you switch briefly to Windows 10 style and then return to Windows 11 enhanced style, it works normally again. Until you exit the Start menu again.

I found out that all you need to do is briefly activate or deactivate “Show recently installed apps” in the context menu in the app list. You don't need to change the style.

Hi thomas-k,

Thanks for posting.  I've been able reproduce this on the same Win11 build.  We have it logged for review.

The problem still exists in Start11v2 (version 2.6.0.2).
Is there any update on the status of Internal Ref: ODNT-11585?
