Serato and Start11

every serato update, start11 link will crash

hello,

I'm having a problem with Serato, every time there is a serato update, the start11 link to serato will stop working. the update replaces all the old files and links, but start11 will not update the existing. so it's allways a hassle to get them back to work. the tile will disapear on update, and on the tree it still shows the now non working old link and I don't know how to refresh the tree links and reboot also does not help

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I suspect every time Serato update, it installed in different directory from the previous one. And remove the old one. As a test does the default Windows Start panel show the correct updated version?

hello, got a smal update:

so, on update serato the icon will disappear from the tiles but can be readded, after reboot the tile is gone and the tree link to serato is broken, another reboot the tree link works fine and can be readded to the tiles.

just for reproducing

Perhaps, you can try this. Just before doing a Serato update. Do Start11 setting backup. Name and save it somewhere easy for you to identify and reload later. Do the Serato update. Reboot the system. Reload that save setting and see if the tile still show up and work with the new updated Serato. Try that and report back.
