Start 11 - Won't Keep Custom Button

Good Morning, I'm having another issue with Start11. It doesn't seem to want to keep my custom start button. Each time I reboot or start up the computer, I have to choose it again.

Thanks for your help!!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Do you have anoy other application that also change how your taskbar or explorer work.

Thanks,

I am using Windows 11 Home 64 bit . Build 24H2

Start11 Version 2.55.

Nothing else on my computer would change how my taskbar or explorer works.

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

If the issue still appear, we still need this information.

Basj, I did exactly as described above and it now works. I am wondering why I am having so many issues with Start11. Perhaps they are still ironing out the bugs?

Thanks for your help! 5*

Hello,

Great to hear! The issues you’re seeing are likely tied to how Windows 11 keeps changing its interface—especially the taskbar and Start panel. Start11 has to adapt constantly to stay in sync, and that rapid pace can sometimes cause small hiccups or conflicts with other apps or settings.
