Vertical-on-left taskbar issue after 2.55 update

Hi. I just did the Start11 2.55 update. I have my taskbar set vertically on the left, and I normally use a second monitor positioned to the left of the main display (I have confirmed that this problem occurs whether the 2nd monitor is in use or unplugged).

When I right-click on my OneDrive tray icon (the gray cloud at the top of the tray icons) to see the syncing activity, the popup status is not moving to the right of the taskbar as it did before, so that the left side of the popup with the synced file icons and the beginning of the filenames is now hiding under the taskbar itself. Not good, I need to see all that information. This was not an issue before the 2.55 update.



When I disconnect the second monitor, the same thing still happens. All other tray icons function properly as before, it's only the OneDrive status popup that is now doing this.

I am running Win 11 Home 24H2, build 26100.6584. The OneDrive build is 25.179.0914.0003 (64-bit).

Hope something can be done about this, it's incredibly inconvenient and I don't want to lose my left-side taskbar. It's the reason I bought Start11 in the first place after moving from Win10 to Win11.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. I am on Windows 11 v24H2 OS Build 26100.6584 and Start11v2.55.

Would like to suggest to try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Well that's good in a way, I'd rather have it be something that I might be able to fix without having to wait for an update. It will be a couple of days before I can do this but I will reply here as soon as I do, thank you.

I would add the step "save your settings first" before doing the uninstall...  ;-)

Uninstalling the app won’t remove your current or saved settings—unless you choose to delete them during the process. But if you’d like to be extra safe, you can always back up your settings manually by saving those backup copies to another location.

Hi again,

Sorry it took so long to get back about this, I was in the middle of a project that had to be finished before I could mess around with uninstalls and reinstalls.

Alas, doing those steps resulted in no change, the OneDrive menu still pops up underneath the vertical-left-side taskbar.

Don't know what else to try, especially since you were unable to see the problem yourself. It returns me to my initial annoyance that MS took taskbar repositioning out of Win11 in the first place. But thank you for the suggestion, it was worth the attempt.
