Taskbar Overflow Menu Issue

Windows 11 now has a new feature named "Taskbar Overflow Menu".  This is a really great feature.  Unfortunately, when you turn on "Let Start11 enhance the taskbar" in Start11/Taskbar page, this important new feature goes away.  Will this problem be addressed and corrected?

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Start11 version installed.

Thank you,

This is not a feature we implemented as we offer scrolling and multi line taskbars.

So I can understand your request better, I would be interested in knowing what is it you like about the taskbar overflow menu over say scrolling or having a second row?

A 2nd row increases the size (height) of the taskbar.  I really don't like to scroll to get to buttons on the taskbar.  You have to position the mouse pointer just right.

This new overflow menu is really slick.  You just click on the 3 dots (aka ellipsis) at the right end of the 1st row and up pops the additional overflow buttons.  Click on the 3 dots again and it disappears.  I used to limit the number of buttons on my taskbar to 1 row because I hated to scroll.  Now I can have as many buttons as I want in the taskbar and now the buttons in the overflow menu are so easy to get to.  I just love it when I get things to work the way I want when it allows me to be more productive.

Thanks!

Thanks for that.

As a heads up, using the mousewheel on the taskbar also scrolls it as long as you are on the taskbar button area of the taskbar.
