Have purchased Object Desktop, but apps that I install ask for license keys

I bought Object Desktop, have logged into my Stardock account and am installing some of the applications like Start 11, and Fences 6.

Once they install, they pop up a box to enter my product key, purchase or start a trial.

My Object Desktop purchase covers all these products. And the system knows that. Why is it asking me to enter any keys? They already exist in my account.

One of the points of Object Desktop is to cover all the relevant applications and reduce install friction.

If I have to go and find my license key everytime, its just annoying.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. The Object Desktop manager do not manage your license and activation. It only manage your installation and version update. You will need to activate each product individually.

Every other tool I have that manages multiple items ALSO manages their licensing automatically. That is one of the main selling points of such tools.

Besides, when the licensing popup came up for an application, I just closed the window.

And when I go into the installed applications, they all show as being licenced..

So yes, there is automatic licensing happening. Its just being ignored by the first time startup of these applications.

I'm simply explaining what it is, though you're free to see it differently.

Well here is the interface that asks for my OBD serial number and email

It very clearly says "Unlock all of your applications?"

So yes, ODB does say that it is supposed to unlock all the applications.

Unfortunately, that is not what it mean, it just that once you done that you are unlock to download all application available under your Object Desktop account via the Object Desktop Manager.

It very clearly says "Unlock all of your applications?"

Perhaps it should say "Unlock Access to all your application/s downloads and updates"

As that is what is meant.

The Object Desktop Manager will then ask you to register whatever Programs you do download and install so as to keep track of each of those and the number of activations.

Yes, The ODM 'key' does equally register each and every program but not at the point/stage of the installation of the ODM but at the stage of the activation of each product you install as and when you choose to install one or more of them.
