GPU at 100 % workload on Galaxy screen!?

I noticed that my GPU runs at max power (99% utilization, 350 Watts power) on the Galaxy Screen, which seems excessive.

Here is my system:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (Adrenalin v. 25.8.1)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

RAM: 32 GB

OS: Windows 11 latest update (26100.4946)

I tried various driver options (e.g. Radeon chill) but the huge power draw on the Galaxy Screen remains. It drops down to 20 % on "static screens" like the Planet Screen. For what it's worth, the Adrenalin Home screen lists "Galactic Civilizations IV" and "Galciv4" as two separate games.

Any help appreciated!

PS: Humankind only uses 60 % utilization, which seems more reasonable to me.

There's a lot of items being rendered when zooming out; the fact that it actually push the GPU is good! Do you get good FPS ?

The 100 % workload occurs even when zoomed in on empty black space. It is around 20 % on Planet screen and 60 % during the Battle Viewer. The FPS is around 100, but drops sometimes to 5! I would gladly set it to 60 FPS if it prevents my PC turning into an oven.

Yeah, I don't know if anything can be done at this point in the life of the game. I'm not sure why your system is cooking like that at all time. :/

Well, somebody did something. I veryfied the game files, updated to Adrenalin v 26.2.2 and Galciv v 3.10 and now the work load is at a reasonable 50 to 60 %. Thanks to whoever is responsible for this!
