Option for "Sins 1 style" side-panel that shows every ship and every planet?

Thanks for the awesome game!

Could you please consider an option that allows players to use a more "Sins 1 like" side-panel that shows every Ship and Planet?

I loved the Sins 1 panel because it was so informative and reliable, i could see and find literally everything in it at a single glance, including health bars.

It also helped me notice did enemy fleets move to or from planets as they jump around the cosmos, especially near Scout ships (many icons suddenly appearing/disappearing in the side panel is very easy to notice).

The current Sins 2 left panel is just for manually assigned fleets, and the one on the right auto hides too much which i really dislike.

Here is a screenshot from Sins 1 showing the kind of panel i would really love to have as an option:

While I dont remember ever having stacks of units of Soase:R, perhaps it is because I havent played it since, however the current panel does not fulfill the information display that would show all useful info, not having to pin planets and units to the left side, same for fleets, but having it organized in what I remember as not missing details, soase 2 interface looks more of a filler that would remind of the old game, while not providing the functionality of the old game. Meaning, all the displayed things give me indications instead of actual info. You could minimize it in the old game thats what I remember. That it doesnt provide precise info acts as it is not being worth filling up the space.

So, for me personally, if there was possibility of simply porting old UI however outdated it looks, I guess you could pretty it up, I do think it was a reliable conveyor of useful information, much more so than the new one.

Also when selecting fleets and having to deselect it twice to get out of fleet build and only then getting to the actual fleet is what also didnt happen with the old system. It felt user friendly, it was much harder to lose sight of units there etc.

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Porting UI is sadly not an easy task to do, so it would require dedicated work for anything similar to become an option. The idea of current UI is to keep things clearer, albeit it may come at loss of some information.

I will share your request with the team :)

Thanks for replying.

But i gotta say that a visually "clear" UI is meaningless when it does not convey the critical information that the user desperately needs.

UI is a tool - it is not there to primarily look pretty as an art piece but in reality fail to deliver the desperately needed information.

And imho the 2008 Sins 1 UI is a vastly superior information providing tool than the 2025 Sins 2 UI.

This is especially true for the visual popups and audio alerts for planets being under siege and similar critical events.

If a pretty but lacking UI is making the game more tedious and annoying and overall unpleasant to play, you can be sure that the players will not be happy with it.
