KVM mode doesn't work - Seamless works.

KVM mode doesn't work after clean installing Windows 10. Seamless mode works well.

Please check the screenshots.

I have tried the following:

  • Secondary computer has been configured but doesn't appear in the KVM window
  • Tried Reinstalling more than thrice - Uninstall, Reboot, Install, Reboot.
  • Flush DNS cache
  • Restarting Multiplicity process
  • Unload Multiplicity and open again
  • I have tried with my Bitdefender Firewall and Antivirus switched off.
  • Multiplicity is allowed in windows firewall too.

What else do I try?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know you on Multiplicity 4 or Multiplicity 4 Pro? Do know that you need Multiplicity 4 Pro for KVM. Refer here.

Thank you,

Install the beta  from your account page on both PCs:

I have installed the Beta in my Primary and the stable in Secondary and it works.

It was seamless. Just setup and my secondary started to show in the KVM window.

But why? We used to move from Beta to Stable for a seamless experience. Now its the opposite? And the 4.01 stable was working well previously before I clean installed Win10. Only after the reinstall, it stopped working.

Also, Now, do I install the Beta in the Secondary or leave it as it is? What next? Do I continue to use Beta? How can I update it to the Stable? Should I uninstall and Reinstall again?

What Next?

Anytime you update Multiplicity it's always, without exception, updating every PC that uses. it...

The beta will be moved to release when we are back from break (next week is our break).  You are fine to use it until then, mitheshge.
