File view in the Fence

Greetings

Within  my Fenced areas, all the files are shown as Icons, with the file names truncated. The Icon view makes it very difficult to locate a specific file.

I have been looking for a way to have the files within the Fence shown in a Windows Explorer "Details" mode, but I am not sure if this is available.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try using Portal Fences. Portal Fences will have the ability to have several view options, including "Details". Something similar to my screenshot below.

I was a user of Fences some time back.  I've now returned and am investigating the new Beta version of Fences

I'm not yet up on what all may have been mentioned in this Community Forum, but I'd like to suggest a possible feature.  That would be the ability to optionally right-click on a folder within a Fence or Portal and be able to have a drop down menu of contents and further menus as necessary.  Perhaps this is already possible, but I'm not 'there' yet.

Doing so could save filling up the desktop with multiple editions of Window Explorer.

Kind regards,

Dick

I prefer folder portals myself.

For Stardock software in general, I created a dedicated easy to find folder. That is also where I put all my folder portals that are specific to Fences. Works pretty good for me.

I apologize for the delay in responding - I thought I would get an email notice when there was a reply, so I am just seeing this.

I am trying your suggestion and it seems to be what I am looking for.

Thanks!
