Raise Taskbar

Move Taskbar

Wondering if there is a setting to lift the taskbar a bit off of the bottom of the screen. The bottom edge of the taskbar has an outline which only seems to show if I open a program in a full screen window. I am attaching a program open screenshot where you can see the bright green edge on the bottom, and a desktop (programs minimized) image where you can see that that green outline on the bottom edge is hidden. Can someone help me with this?Desktop Window with no bottom Green Edge

Do you have a link and/or name to the windowblind you are using, so I can check out how it looks on my end?

Got  it. It's this one, Predominance by Lightstar. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/9723/

It looks ok on my computer, so I suspect there is something else on your computer that's causing it. What's that big time/date you are running on top? Have you tried without it?

SmartClock - makes no difference. Anyway, just thought there was a way to lift the taskbar in Start11. Or float it higher.

If you have Start11v2 you can try adjusting this setting: Not sure if it will move it up or remove the bottom part of the taskbar.

Nope - that did nothing for the issue.

Look like there is something moving your taskbar down. Here is what I get on my system. If you uninstall Start11, reboot, does the bottom part appear?

OK, so I uninstalled Start11. At that point, the bottom taskbar outline reappeared. I rebooted, and it was still there. SO I reinstalled Start11. When it finished, the bottom outline was gone again. I rebooted and it was still not there. So apparently there is something not playing nice between Start11 and this specific Windowblind.

May I know, you on Windows 10 or 11? Also, need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe. Also, do you have any application installed that change how Windows Explorer and or Taskbar work. Such as WindowsPatcher, WindHawk etc?

WIndows 11 23H2 Build 22631.4890

No app except Start11 for taskbar

Sorry for slow respond, but I just spend almost 6 hours to get my Windows updated to your version, but unfortunately, I still don't see your issue on my system. Refer screenshot below.

Moving forward, I see you're using customize start button. Please try, change back to default WB Skin Start button and see if it help.

Looking closer at your screenshot, also the width of the tasbar is scaling and the edges are cut off:

Could you just as a test try to hide the search box to see if that makes any difference? Also check to see if your display scaling is set to 100%. Try closing every other program you have running like the clock, net meter, dock etc.

Something is making the taskbar wider at the bottom, you can see there are lot more space between the search box bottom and the bottom edge of the taskbar.

Hid search box - no change. Where do I check screen scaling?

ANd why wouldn't these thing effect all screens rather than just the desktop screen? Remember, if I open a program at full screen the bottom outline is there...

Where do I check screen scaling? I won't be able to get to the Sandbox thing until the weekend.

Here. Sshot below is from Windows 10, Windows 11 should be around the same area with different layout.

Sandbox instructions are vague on the page I was sent to. Seems like a lot of time to do this. This really is not that important. Just does not make sense why the problem only exists on the desktop. I just don't have the kind of time needed to keep troubleshooting it.

It is okay, we understand.

I will have time in the next week to troubleshoot this if you are still available to help. However, I am totally lost with the Sandbox thing. I tried running the Powershell commands and get an error (The '<' operator is reserved for future use). I am assuming it has to do with the <VMName> part. Am I supposed to replace that with something else? This is far from clear for an idiot that is not a programmer, so I am not sure how you expect me to use it.

I also tried to see if the Sandbox would work on my machine, but when I go to search Turn Windows Features on or off, and click on Run as Administrator, nothing happens. So I have no idea what features or how I can turn it on.

So if you want me to use any of this, you are going to have to give me instructions that are idiot proof.

Thanks.
