File Explorer Not Working

Hi, I have been using WindowBlinds for several years mostly with no issues. But for some reason today I came home and found it no longer working out of nowhere. I can run the program and apply skins as per usual but now no matter which skin I apply once applied I can no longer open any Windows Explorer windows. As soon as I turn off WindowBlinds and apply the default Windows theme it starts working again. I have no idea why this has started. Anyone else having this issue? Its so odd. I looked at my Windows update history for the past couple days and uninstalled the couple updates to see if this would restore WindowBlinds to a working state again with no luck. I have no idea what caused this issue.

FYI, it looks like KB5055523 is the update that's causing the problem.  If I uninstall it, then everything works properly.

You just need 11.06 and it will work fine.

You can stop WB running if you hold down the shift key while you login.

This is also true for launching apps if you need to temporarily exclude them.

I can confirm that the uninstall and manual install of 10.5 via the provided link has fixed things.

As per an earlier message, it would be really useful to have an ability to temporarily disable WB when something like this occurs in the future.  In the case of the system file dialog failing to work it made it really hard to do anything.

Personally updating WB without uninstalling fixed the issue for me.

Also reminder that if anyone face the issue again, you can always deactivate WB on boot by doing Windows+R, typing "msconfig" and then in service deactivating windblinds11 and start11.

I had this issue a couple of months ago and then an update fixed. Windowblinds did an update last week and now the issue is back.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which version of WB you have running now? Do know that the latest version released currently is WB11.06.

Where can I find version 11.06? The update (downgrade?) that happened last week has me at 11.04.

Edit: found my download link for 11.06.

I'm having the explorer issue. It will not open up or any folders.  How do I get the beta version that fixes it or the update? when I click check for update it says there isn't one.

Same issue to me. I tried 11.06 and the beta 11.07. Nothing works. Explorer works again when I apply the default skin.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. This issue appear on all skin or specific skin? Also, do you have any other application that change Window Explorer. For example, Explorerpatcher, WinAero Tweaker, Windhawk, OpenShell.. etc.

Thank you,

Uninstall, reboot, then install 11.07

I suspect files were not replaced correctly.

Nevermind, the problem seems to be fixed by itself...
