Are you using a laptop as the primary which has a touchscreen?

Where is the taskbar positioned on the secondary and primary and how are the monitors arranged?

I'm having a somewhat similar issue.  In my case, on the second monitor, I often have to click on a task bar items a second time to get the associated window to activate.

Start 11 Version 2.5

Windows 11 24H2

Desktop with 2 monitors

Taskbars are on the bottom.

This seems to only happen after I've been working on my primary monitor and want to switch to something on my secondary monitor.

Here is the typical flow

Working on something on my primary monitor, right side.

Click on a taskbar item on secondary monitor, left side for a window that is hidden under other windows.  Nothing happens.

Click a second time on a taskbar item on secondary monitor.  This time it works.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. For all, please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products . Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

The uninstaller says I have to close start11 before uninstalling.  How do I do that?

Are you using 3rd party installer/uninstaller application or it was directly from your Windows System->App->Select app-> Uninstall ?

I'm using Control Panel, programs and features, uninstall.

I can find no way to stop Start11 as instructed before uninstalling, so I uninstalled anyway.  Seemed like it uninstalled okay.

Then rebooted

Then reinstalled

Then rebooted again

No change in behavior.  Same problem with the taskbar on the second monitor.

Please try this. Open Start10tweak.exe. Its should be available in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11. You should see something like the screenshot below. Click on Unload Start10now and Disable Start10 Service buttons. Close the Start10tweak. Try the uninstall Start11 again. Report back.

Note: Start10tweak.exe do work on Start11.

I just tried this " Open Start10tweak.exe. Its should be available in C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11. You should see something like the screenshot below. Click on Unload Start10now and Disable Start10 Service buttons. Close the Start10tweak. Try the uninstall Start11 again. Report back."

So far it is working. I will give it a test and see if it holds up and report back in a few days.

I just rebooted my PC, opened Discord, and minimized it. After that, I tried to open Chrome, but I couldn't click on the taskbar icon. When the screen is empty (no windows open), nothing on the taskbar responds. However, if I have a window open on the monitor (like now, while typing this message), I can interact with the taskbar without any issues. I just did a fresh reload of the os about 2 weeks ago.

I have the same problem. To be able to press any of the icons/running applications on the second taskbar i have to right click on them first, otherwise its impossible to press on them. The Start button is fine though.

This started to happen after the 2.5 update.

We should have an update which may help this later this week.
