Single Key, Multiple Activations vs Multiple Keys, Single Activation

I'd like to purchase a license of Multiplicity 4 Business/Enterprise. But I'm not sure, which option to choose. 

Single Key, Multiple Activations or Multiple Keys, Single Activation?

What is difference betwenn these 2 options? Does this have something to do with promote/demote? 

Is there other differences in functionality?

Single Key, Multiple Activations or Multiple Keys, Single Activation?

Single key, multiple activations would mean you have 1 key and can activate multiple Primary PCs with it.  The quantity at purchase would be  how many concurrent activations (Primaries) can be attached to that key.

Multiple keys \ single activation is a single key with 1 concurrent activation associated with it.   The quantity at purches determines how many key are issued.

Why is that important to choose, if I'm buying ONLY one license? 

If I choose "Multiple Keys, Single Activation", will it still be possible to switch between primary and secondary as often as necessary? Sorry for the confusion.

Because if you purchase Single \ Single, you would not be able to add more concurrent activations (licenses if you will) after.  Single \ Single is generally what resellers purchase.

For Single \ Multiple, post-purchase, if you wanted to add more concurrent activations to a single key, you can, example:

Thank you for your support. I have now the Enterprise-Version and will install it next days.

Should I uninstall Multiplicity 3 first or will it be removed automatically by installing Version 4? What would you recommend?

Installing over (on all) installations should be fine.
