Desync and Checksum errors during multiplayer in v2.92

Frequent instability when playing multiplayer with a friend across Internet connection; doesn't matter who is hosting.

Over the past couple of weeks, a friend and I have been attempting to play a multiplayer game in GalCiv IV, but have been running into crashes caused by desync or checksum errors, and it seems to be getting worse (took a lot longer time to get the first error, vs. subsequent errors). We have been on the latest version, 2.92 at this time, and are unsure what the root cause is. Your support and guidance to resolve the issue is appreciated.

Hello, would you be able to provide save files from both yourself and your friend for the team to look at once they are back from holiday break?

PM sent. I understand, Multiplayer may not be a top priority for the dev team due to low usage potentially, but those of us who do try it should be treated to an enjoyable and stable experience, so I hope this issue moves up the chain quickly.
