I believe there is currently a limit to 16 colours. AFAIK, that has to do with the OS at this point. Perhaps in the future. Who knows what magic Stardock will manage.

The problem at the moment murga, is that bootskin only allows images with 16 colors, this can make it very difficult to get truly realistic-looking images. Stardock is working on a way around this though, so, be patient.

sorry about that murga, I am kinda ... no make that very ... grumpy this morning. I didn't make it to class on time to take a quiz. An important quiz. Monday I specifically asked the teacher when the quiz would be so I knew it was today. The class is at 8. I woke up at 7 rolled out of bed hit my alarm clock and did my other morning stuff. Then I still had 15 minutes before I had to leave so I decided to lay back down. I woke up 45 minutes later. ARRRRGGG!

yeah there is a limit to 16 colors at boot up. your graphics cards aren't loaded yet. I have no idea how they will make more colors work (as 16 is all that windows can use at bootup) but I have heard that they are making good progress.

A Truecolour version of Bootskin is in the pipeline, like the rest of us, you will just have to wait until it is released.

If enough customers email Stardock asking for it, they may try to release it sooner

Stumpy - hmmm, be careful what you wish for hoping Stardock will release it sooner...much better for it to be working than released too soon under pressure
