TEC Capital ship review

So this post is going to be my personal experience with TEC capital ships - and as always, feel free to disagree

Kol: Has no utility as a starting capital, and after either the Ragnarov or Ankylon, it is quite obsolete in its abilities. There is no point in choosing it as a starter, and later there is no point in choosing it as a secondary or tertiary. Lacks the firepower to mow down neutrals easily to make it a lucrative choice.

Akkan: Well balanced as a colonisation ship. You have to decide over it's role in the fleet. Do you see it as an economic asset or a support ship?

Dunov: Made obsolete by the ship upgrade hardware you can get. IMHO it needs to be reimagined in its role and in how it fulfills that role.

Sova: Definition of OP with its squadrons. Boosting production is a nice bonus. Being able to manufacture corvettes is rather useless if the enemy has AA.

Marza: Siege ship, it has it's utility in defeating planets. Alltogether, well balanced.

Ragnarov: F**k yeah. Need any more explanation?

Ankylon: A fortress as ever it has been. It can save lives. What's more is there to explain?

I am not trolling, I can guarantee that to you. I take this game and its improvements quite seriously (you can check out my other posts, if in doubt.

Ok then.

Kol is a tank and does the highest burst single target. It scales into endgame and it has multiple staking abilities, items and synergies.

Akkan is the first support you want. Because Colonization is very pretious for expanding and Inspiring Broadcast is the best AOE buff in the game. And the forth ability can make the difference between loosing or wining, in dangerous situations. For example it can help my ships get very close and snugly to the Ragnarov, without taking damage.

Dunov is an all rounder. It has strike craft, it has some damage, it has abilities that block the Ragnarov or any other ship from using abilities, in an AOE, for up to 30 seconds. It has mass restore shields and energy. It's a small amount but it has a small cooldown.

Sova has its utilities in offense but stronger on defense.

Marza wreaks armies with it's AOE capabilities. Just don't leave its 4 on auto-cast.

The Ragnarov is great if you don't have to spin around to find your target. It's 4th is useless more often than not. And energy is a problem.

The Ankylon is good as long as it's close to the target and has his first turned on so it counter enemy abilities. It's 4th is easily countered by an Level 6 Akkan. Just wait until invulnerability passes :)

I find the TEC capitol ships to be a much weaker than Vasari. They have their roles, but they are much weaker in my opinion. Mostly in tankiness and army influence.

Well, Vasari have phase missiles and the Skiranta Carrier that is a healing engine, so you aren't wrong. But the TEC carrier is a powerhorse in the early game - and the first capital ship is a choice between the Akkan (economic advantage) or the Sova (military advantage) - and the rest is not even a question.
