What the hell?...

What the hell?...

what the hell is going on with this site? Not only have I had to register for the third time in a couple of months (second time in a matter of days) because every time I try to log in, for some reason my email is "not on the db", but now, I can't even check out new skins without downloading a piece of software for which I have to pay?... Hello! Sorry, but if WinCustomize becomes that painful to use, from something really good only weeks ago, then I'll get skins from somewhere else. I don't want to have to pay for a software just to download the odd WMP skin. This is ridiculous.

Sorry about the whinge, but this site has been driving me mad for the last 20mins trying to log in, register, find something, and at the end, I have nothing... >

well its always better to hope somebody will get better. I'd just always carry a big stick. But then these decisions aren't up to me, and I really don't care because I don't plan on getting myself exiled or demoted to visitor anytime soon.

people rarely change at all....though they say they will. If a person is a pain in the butt now, it's safe to say he'll be a pain in the butt in the future

That may well be true, but it's also true to say that if you don't give a person freedom to change, if you contain them in that conceptual box in your own mind, they are even less likely to change. Often people become stereotyped by those around them, which can effect how they are treated, which can go on to perpetuate or reinforce certain traits.

Tiggz....exactly, though it's important to note that it's not the Admins here who are propagating the stereotyping but the general populace who see the 'problems' as targets or playthings....aggravating the issue.

Many are not given the opportunity to adjust their attitude as their past errors are flung back at them to continue the 'sport'.

Not all of the on-going 'issues' are the fault of the targets, but the fault of those with the 'guns'...

Hell man, grab the ol'lady and go throw snowballs!!!

Jafo...I've not really been around here long enough to know much of the history of specific cases or individuals, I was thinking out loud really based on my own observations and experiences in life.

It's just one of those self perpetuating cycles that can be seen from the very small scale to the very large. To enable change in oneself or those around you, you must be willing to accept it and try and maintain an open mind.

I have missed 2 days of work. Not because the car will not start. The cars runs fine. Because driving on Ice scares the crap out of me. Last tuesday I went to work, but going there and coming home every few miles I had to pull over on freeway and de ice my windsheild due to freezing rain, not to metion getting stuck several times. Not fun at all.

jeep + tire chains = ice conqueror

I only have a 1979 Ford Fairmont Station Wagon with Summer tires!

I also have a 1982 Ford Escort that needs a battery. I bet the front wheel drive on the escort would help.

I only have winter one day a year (usually) the last good snow here was in march 1993. Its 27 degrees ferenheit outside and thats considered very cold here. I don't want to go back to school and have to walk a mile to class everyday in that, but it looks like I will have to.

I have never priced tire chains, are they very expensive?
